2017-2018 No Nonsense Nurturer Online Course

The No-Nonsense Nurturer (NNN) online course was developed from studying the attributes of highly effective teachers across the country, focusing on those who serve youth enduring challenges associated with poverty. These effective teachers were coined “No Nonsense Nurturers.” No Nonsense Nurturers know that effective management practices are necessary for establishing high expectations, life-altering relationships, and a thriving classroom culture of achievement. Through over 90 videos and engaging content, the online course unpacks the NNN mindsets and strategies.

The strategies are:

  • Build strong relationships with students and families
  • Craft and deliver precise directions
  • Deliver positive narration; Incorporate a consequence system and a class-wide incentive system.

This course is designed for practitioners who come to teaching from a range of experiences, perspectives, and evolving mindsets (new and struggling teachers, effective teachers and mentors/coaches. The course takes about 3 hours to complete start to finish but can also be taken self-paced with an included implementation guide. At the end of the course you will earn a certificate worth 10 hours of professional development credit This online professional learning opportunity is a prerequisite for all educators at schools that use NNN school wide and to receiving any real time teacher coaching.
