ELA 202: Literacy Development for ELLs, Fall 2017 Sections

This is a hybrid course, please bring laptop computers to all mandatory face-to-face sessions!! This 16-hour hybrid course provides participants with research-based practices, aligned to the literacy expectations of the Common Core State Standards. Though the work in this course, participants will plan for the reading and writing development of their students. Strategies covered in this course most closely align to I.3 and I.7 in the Framework for Effective Teaching (LEAP).

Participants will:

• Demonstrate the ability to intentionally plan for the linguistic needs of English learners in both reading and writing.
